Overall this rosin is just a little more than OK. It is much better than the free rosin they give at the store, it does give off a bit of dust and I think that it doesn't have as much 'sticking power' as the Jade brand -- however this I bought for about 6 bucks, while the Jade brand is now selling around $16, so this one wins out. I would buy this again, but only after I've tried a few other kinds to see if there was something else better.
But yes, even for the $6 i think it's better than saving the $6 and just using the free rosin from the rental places...this one definately wins out.
I do like how it's in the spongy velvet, so it's soft on your hand but the rosin doesn't slide or anything from inside your palm.
